The lonely king << Back

Once upon a time there was a kingdom so poor, so poor, that all the people who inhabited it left for the neighboring kingdoms. Ministers, counts, marquises and other important people had long since departed. Only the king, Lonely King, remained. Every morning, from the highest tower of the castle, he wakes up with the trumpet. Then he goes down to the kitchen, prepare breakfast and put it on the bed to drink it placidly. But to be alone is very boring and, for that reason, lonely king invented a fun game to always have company.

The book has beautiful color illustrations in harmony with the nice story about solitude, ingenuity, and imagination. The present title, published in the nineties, reappears rewritten, re-illustrated and turned into a beautiful album.
